Cupping Therapy

What is Cupping Therapy?

The treatment performed by simply applying cupping without taking blood is called dry cupping or cupping therapy.

Cupping therapy, which has a history of three thousand years, is frequently used for disorders known as muscle spasms. A high amount of lactic acid accumulates in muscles that work or contract for a long time and cause fatigue. With cupping therapy, blood circulation in the hardened area is increased and lactic acid is removed and excreted through the urine.

Thanks to the bruising caused by vacuuming in cupping treatment, the body directs all its constructive and healing chemicals to that area. All muscle, joint and nerve structures are refreshed and a healthy body is achieved.

In which diseases is cupping therapy used?
Pain due to shoulder and arm bone, joint and waist muscle strains
Pain caused by lumbar stiffness (Lumbago)
Shoulder and back pain
In fibrositis or fibrominage (Kulunç) pains
Pain caused by nervous contractions
Slipped disc and resulting pain in the waist and neck area

In the treatment of pain caused by arthritis
Temporary nervous contractions occurring in certain parts of the body.
Reducing extreme fatigue

cupping
The process of taking blood by vacuuming the toxic blood that has accumulated under the skin in certain parts of the body and causing diseases in the body, by lightly scratching it and placing a glass or bottle on it, due to any disease or in order to stay healthy, is called cupping.

The word 'cupping' means 'to suck, to bring to its normal form' in Arabic. If cupping is done properly at certain intervals in appropriate time periods, the heavy metals, toxins, free radicals that the body cannot throw out, and the residues left by the drugs and hormonal foods left in the body will be absorbed and our body will return to its normal form.

Although cupping is very common in Islamic countries, it is a treatment method applied all over the world, including European countries and the USA. Traditionally, cupping is done with horns, but today it is done with the help of glass cups or vacuum sets. Care should be taken to ensure that all materials used are disposable. Cupping treatment is a type of surgical intervention. As with all treatment methods, how and to whom it will be administered should be determined by the doctor. The application must be performed by a doctor or medical personnel under the supervision of a doctor.

Although it is generally applied to the back area, it can also be applied to the head area and other acupuncture points of the body, depending on the disease and complaint of the person who has it done. However, the area to be treated should be determined by the doctor.

If there is no discomfort, if it is to be done for detox purposes and to protect against diseases, it is important to comply with the recommended season, month and week days of the sunnah in order to increase the benefit of cupping. Hacamat can be performed in spring and autumn as seasons and on the 14th of the Hijri month as lunar days. It would be more appropriate to have it done on the odd days between the 28th (15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th etc.). Compliance with this calendar allows you to benefit from the gravitational force of the moon on the earth, which can cause tidal movements in the seas. If it is done for any discomfort, it should be done as soon as possible, regardless of the season or lunar day. In this regard, only weekdays can be taken into consideration. It is recommended to have cupping twice a year, in spring and autumn.

People who will undergo cupping should not be using blood thinners or aspirin. It is not appropriate for those who will undergo treatment to be very hungry or very full. It is recommended to avoid animal foods and drink plenty of fluids for 1 day before and after the treatment.

Hacamat is a painless treatment method that can be applied without pain, bed rest, or loss of labor, and it is a way to protect from diseases and live a healthy life.
